A Unique Opportunity to Discover China and Xi’an Jiaotong University
The Summer Camp is a unique experience that allows you to spend a week in China, thanks to the collaboration between Politecnico di Milano and Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU). During this week, you will engage in a mix of academic and cultural activities that will not only introduce you to the Chinese academic environment but also immerse you in a new culture.
Who Can Participate?
All Politecnico di Milano students enrolled in their third year of undergraduate studies are eligible to apply. Each year, the participating study programs may vary, so stay updated!

Between late August and early September.

The program is primarily held in Xi’an, with potential trips to other cities.
How Can You Apply?
Applications take place in the second semester of the third year of undergraduate studies. Candidates are selected based on various criteria established annually by the study program coordinators. Selection factors include GPA, the number of credits earned by the time of application, and a motivation letter.
What Does the Program Include?
The program combines academic learning with cultural experiences, including:
- Academic lectures delivered by Xi’an Jiaotong University professors.
- Company visits to leading Chinese enterprises such as Huawei and the Geely Manufacturing Base to explore the country’s industrial and technological landscape.
- Visits to research labs and innovation centers.
- Cultural activities, including sightseeing and tours of iconic landmarks, providing full immersion in Chinese history and traditions.
What Are the Costs?
Accommodation and domestic transportation within China are covered by Xi’an Jiaotong University. Additionally, a visa is no longer required for stays under 30 days in China.
